In the early 1980s, a hard-working, driven young man envisioned something different...

ReCarb exists to offer you the unique opportunity to process your tungsten carbide and related metal products in a streamlined, more advantageous way.

Dan Rossi established ReCarb in 2013 after many years of experience in the scrap industry. Recognizing how the market could operate more efficiently, he aspired to change the way tungsten carbide and affiliated materials are bought and sold.

A BRIEF BACKGROUND

Dan's life in metal trading began when he was a very young man in Utica, NY. In the early 1980s, he acquired a position at the company where his father, Dominick Rossi, was employed. Not long after, Dominick incorporated his own business, Northeast Alloys & Metals, which concentrated on processing hi-temp alloys. Under the guidance and direction of his father, Dan was exposed to all aspects of the trading process, as well as to the full scope of how a customer-focused company operates and becomes successful. Unfortunately, Dominick's time was cut short when he suffered an untimely passing. Keeping in mind his father's insight, Dan was more determined than ever to continue working hard towards the goals he set out to achieve.

Dan left Utica to pursue opportunities elsewhere. Over the next 20-25 years, he continued to learn the trade and held many different positions within various companies, working with people around the world, learning market dynamics, developing a solid skill set, and gaining a deep understanding of how to succeed in a customer-focused business.

WHO IS RECARB?

As opposed to jumping on the idea right away, Dan spent over 3 decades preparing for ReCarb's establishment. He wanted to do more than just start a business --- he wanted to build a company on a solid foundation of:

  • industry knowledge,
  • hands-on experience, and,
  • strong core values,

so that it could operate intelligently within the market and be positioned to optimize customers' overall sales experience.

Dan has spent over 35 years in the scrap metal industry, the last 20 of which  focused largely on establishing tungsten carbide as his area of expertise. The invaluable experience he's obtained has merited his life with extensive knowledge, informed insight, and the ability to supply value to anyone he does business with.

We offer pricing and an informed point-of-view that most others can't, simply because they don't focus solely on tungsten carbide and related materials everyday. We do.
